The BMW tuner Alpina has given the world some fantastic car tweaks over the years, the latest being 600-with the horsepower of B7 based on the 7-Series and 462-HP B3 based on the 3-Series.

As you may have noticed, Alpina often steps in where the BMW tuner itself, the M division, does not dare to step, and it looks like the next offering will be based on X7.

The latest Spy Shots and video show prototypes for Alpina X7 were tested the Nürburgring and on some of the Racetrack streets around Germany. Signature Alpina cues include horizontal front façade bars, multi-spoke wheels, and Quad-exhaust ends.

The 2021 BMW ALPINA XB7 comes with some of the most recognizable brand design features, such as multi-spoke wheels, the iconic ALPINA logo, the optional LAVALINA leather full seat for the interior, and special ALPINA DEKO-SET shades of blue and green.

The power will come from the model B7. Therefore, the new XB7 will be powered by a 4.4-liter V8 gasoline engine rated at 447 kW/608 HP and pump out an impressive 800 Nm peak torque. It’s available at a wide interval between 2,000 and 5,000 RPM.

Alpina, this will most likely be smudged XB7 if powered by a petrol engine, though if there is a diesel under the hood then you can expect the name to be XD7. Given the importance of the United States and China to Alpina, it is more than likely we are looking at a gas-powered model.

The B7 Super Sedan Packaging 4.4 liter twin-turbocharged V-8 conservative is rated at 600 horsepower and 590 pound-foot torque. It also features sports exhaust, reworked 8-speed automatic transmission and Track-tuned suspension. All these features installed on X7 will make an impressive SUV, and don’t forget Alpina offers a tuned version of X3 and X4 overseas, so the company has some experience working on high rise vehicles.

Now the hottest X7 is the BMW X7 M50i. The M performance model was powered by a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 rated at 523 HP and 553 lb-ft. It needs only 4.5 seconds to hit 60 mph, so imagine what the 600-HP X7 would do.

You can expect a top speed near 330 km/h, which makes the ALPINA XB7 a great power pack. What’s more, you’ll be able to reach distances from stops up to 100 km/h in less than 4 seconds. It is possible thanks to the xDrive all-wheel-drive system.

Currently, we are expecting XB7 to debut at the beginning of 2020, which means we should see it arrive as model 2021. The price is likely to come close to $142,695 you need to pay for B7.

Note, while X7 was built in the BMW plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina, modifications made to BX7 will be handled at the Alpina factory in Buchloe, Germany.

Beyond The XB7, we know Alpina also studied a tuned version of the recently undisclosed 8-series Gran Coupe. The car will essentially fill the void on the former Gran Coupe B6 Alpina.

The BMW ALPINA XB7 will also be available from BMW dealers in the UK. Buyers in Europe will be able to choose 3.0-Litre inline-six turbodiesel with 394 BHP and 560 lb-ft torque. It will come with an automatic eight-speed and has an all-wheel drive.
