2024 BMW M5 Touring
2024 BMW M5 Touring – BMW made headlines with the M3 Touring, but a recent report claims this isn’t the only M-slimmed station wagon to be launched.
The M5 Touring will probably make a comeback based on the next generation of the 5-Series, with a body style that features the practical design and high level of performance of the plug-in hybrid powertrain.

According to information published on the Bimmer Post forum by “ynguldyn” users who cited inside information, the upcoming BMW M5 will be offered in a touring-style sedan and body.
The M5 sedan, codenamed G90, is expected to arrive in July 2024, while the M5 Touring will follow in November 2024.
The spy shot from Carscoops managed to take pictures of the four-door variant hiding its aggressive body kit under camouflage that almost covered the entire body.
Although it has not yet been seen as a 5-Series Touring, consumers are interested in the new information and look forward to the first spy shot.
The last time BMW launched the M5 Touring was on the E60 generation (2006-2010) with a V10 engine. The only other wagon-style M5 was the E34 generation (1992-1995) with a six-cylinder inline engine, which made it one of the most demanded family cars of the 90s.
All other five-door M5 models are unique conversions by die-hard BMW M enthusiasts who combine the Touring-style body of the 5-ordinary Series with the M5 engine and parts.
The report confirms what we already know about the next M5 in its electric powertrain. This performance-focused model is expected to share a plug-in hybrid setup with the upcoming BMW XM.
It consists of a new version of a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine combined with an electric motor and a unique hybrid M xDrive four-wheel drive system that will most likely be backward biased.
2024 BMW M5 Touring Engine
BMW has officially confirmed a combined power output of 644 hp (480 kW/653 PS) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque for the entry-level XM, but a higher variant is coming soon, offering 738 hp (550 KW/748 PS) and 1,000 Nm (737 lb-ft) of torque.
Those numbers will make the new M5 more potent than its predecessor, including the existing M5 CS, and become a formidable contender for the following Audi RS6.
2024 BMW M5 Touring Price
The BMW M5 Touring may start at $125,000 or more. Based on the MSRP for M5, that estimate is $103,700.
