BMW 5 Series 2022 Rumors Get New Hybrid Options – The BMW 5 Series has been on sale since 2017, but BMW has already prepared a popular sedan for Mid-Cycle facelift. Although we have seen many camouflaged prototypes tested, this one has been seasoned.
For 2022 perhaps the updated BMW 5 series has been spotted with an optional M Sport Package, which adds an aerodynamic body kit and sports suspension that lowers the sedan closer to the ground. For the current 5 series, the M Sports package is available for an additional $5,000 to 530i and $3,550 for 540i.

The new M3, M4, and 4 series will get a new giant lattice inspired by the controversial BMW concept 4 to give this model a more daring design.
We also get a clearer look at the redesigned front bumper, which has a lower lattice and a larger air intake. Other changes include a slimmer lamp, a redesigned rear bumper, and a refreshing new backlight design.
Inside, the cab is not expected to accept major changes in addition to updates to digital clusters and larger Infotainment screens with updated software.
2022 BMW 5 Series Powertrain
Speaking of machines, the 2022 facelifted 5 Series is expected to get one new hybrid option. xDrive 545e, it will share a plug-in powertrain with the 745e xDrive iPerformance, which means under the hood will be detuned 3.0-liter turbo straight-six paired with an electric motor. The combined system output is estimated to be around 375 horsepower (280 kilowatts).
Previous Spy shots have also shown there will be a new 545e Hybrid model xDrive which is expected to use the detuned version of the plug-in Hybrid longer drivetrain found in the iPerformance 745e xDrive detuned to around 375 HP. The BMW 5 Series facelift is expected to arrive at the end of 2021 or maybe the beginning of 2022.
